Southlake Health is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Assistant (AA) to join their Anesthesia Care Team. The AA provides clinical care and support in perioperative settings, including the Operating Room, PACU, Eye Institute, Birthing Unit, Endoscopy, and Cardiac Program. The role ensures patients receive safe, high-quality anesthesia care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies, and physician orders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, and emergence, as well as airway management and mechanical ventilation. The AA will perform IV and arterial line insertions, monitor patient responses, and provide interventions as required. Participation in teaching and mentorship of students and after-hours anesthesia coverage may also be required.

To succeed in this role, applicants must have an accredited Respiratory Therapy or Nursing degree, current registration in good standing, completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant Program, and certifications including ACLS and Certified Clinical Anesthesia. A minimum of 2 years Critical Care experience is required, and proficiency in all aspects of anesthesia care is expected.
