We are seeking PSWs for Community Clients and Facilities in the Orillia area to provide care. Shifts may vary from mornings to evenings and every other weekend.

Job Benefits:

  • 4 hour shift minimum

    • The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide personal care
  • Transportation maybe required to do grocery shopping or take to medical app
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Provide behavior support and crisis intervention
  • Maintaining open communication with client and their family
  • Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned

    • Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • PSW certification is required
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
  • CPI training is an asset**
  • Drivers License and own insured vehicle
  • Satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
