This job posting is for a Data Analyst (Data & REDCap Support) position at the College of Health Sciences Office of Research at the University of Alberta. The role involves turning complex research data into clear insights for college leadership and researchers.

The position is a 1-year term with a hybrid work model at North Campus Edmonton, offering a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will design and maintain data pipelines, provide REDCap support, and collaborate with the Associate Dean and a team experimenting with AI and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards to visualize research metrics.
  • Design and maintain ETL workflows in R and/or Python.
  • Define and report on core research KPIs.
  • Explore and implement machine learning tools for reporting enhancement.
  • Serve as the primary contact for REDCap support.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes.

    • Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in R or Python, data visualization tools, and working with complex datasets.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning and research environments.
  • Familiarity with academic research tools.
