Description:

Foundry is dedicated to providing health and wellness services to young people aged 12-24 and their caregivers in British Columbia through youth-friendly centers and online resources. The organization offers integrated mental health care, substance use services, primary and sexual health care, youth and family peer support, and social services to make support more accessible.

SHARE Family & Community Services is the lead agency for Foundry Tri-Cities, focusing on integrating health care into a community-based social service setting. Fraser Health Authority's Mental Health and Substance Use Services are also co-located at the center, providing a comprehensive model for youth care.

Under the oversight of the Foundry Tri-Cities' Medical Director, family physicians will provide episodic, enhanced/specialized, and longitudinal care within an interdisciplinary team. The organization is currently recruiting multiple family physicians for part-time positions.

Qualifications:

  • Registered (Full) in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
  • Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
  • Medical indemnity coverage with Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • Eligibility for a faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine is an asset.
  • Job Skills and Abilities:

  • Enthusiasm for and experience working with adolescents and young adults.
  • Demonstrates a high level of clinical skill and competence in various areas of adolescent and young adult health.
  • Ability to provide gender-affirming care, reproductive health services, and harm reduction strategies.
  • Commitment to cultural safety, awareness of Indigenous health practices, and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to engage in educational activities for professional development.
  • Requirements:

  • Criminal Record Review.

  • Approved reference check.
