Scheduling Requirements:

FT Position available: PSW must be available for 37.5-40 hours of work per week

MUST be available for 4 weekday shifts and one consistent weekend shift (can be Saturday OR Sunday)

MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future

Available and willing to see multiple clients for 1-2 hours/each over the course of an 8-12 hour day

Flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts an asset

Duties And Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans

Provide companionship and light housekeeping

Prepare meals according to client and/or family requests

Assist clients with activities of daily living

Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises

Meet safety needs of clients and use equipment properly

Complete records and documentation accurately

Requirements

Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset

PSW certification from an approved institution

Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate

Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion

COVID Vaccination Receipts

Valid Criminal Record Check

Ability to travel between assignments

Effective communication skills in English

**We are looking for awesome, self-driven Personal Support Workers to work throughout the Central WEST area Please note, we are only looking to proceed with candidates who have full-time availability and meet the scheduling requirements below.** **Scheduling Requirements:**

**Duties And Responsibilities**

* Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans
* Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home)
* Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
* Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
* Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth
* Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises
* Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
* Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
* Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly

**Requirements**

* Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset
* PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/ doctorate Certification
* Negative TB Test completed within the last year
* Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
* Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
* COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario's Human Rights Code
* Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria REQUIRED, immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged.
* Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year
* Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas of work
* It is an asset if you have access to and can legally drive your own vehicle
* Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
* Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed
* Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team
