Description:

Qualicare Homecare in Waterloo Region is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join their team as Personal Support Workers/Caregivers. The company offers competitive wages, flexible schedules, and training and development opportunities. Shifts can range from 2 to 12 hours, with PPE provided and referral bonuses available. Personal Support Workers will have the opportunity to assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and more, under the supervision of the Care Coordinator. Qualifications include a PSW certificate or equivalent, CPR/First Aid training, and the ability to travel within the location territory.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene
  • Meal Preparation
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Accompany clients on outings
  • Shopping and errands
  • Medication Assist/ Reminders
  • Ambulation and transporting of clients
  • Provide companionship to clients
  • Ability to follow care-plan
  • Documentation/Charting

    • Qualifications

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
  • Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Ability to travel around location territory
  • Access to Internet/mobile phone
