Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Health & Safety, the Coordinator of Health & Safety is responsible for administering and maintaining H&S programs, policies, and procedures to support business priorities at the Plant. This role involves carrying out administrative work related to H&S functions and maintaining records.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with the execution of Health & Safety processes for the plant.
  • Assist with employee onboarding for Health & Safety programs and training.
  • Implement and monitor the Safety Program to eliminate risks causing workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Identify trends and areas of improvement, reporting monthly on health and safety statistics.
  • Participate in the JHSC, conduct workplace inspections, and attend regular meetings.
  • Develop monthly safety talk material for Supervisors' talks.
  • Provide First Aid when needed.
  • Implement and maintain Health & Safety programs such as LOTO.
  • Maintain all Health & Safety training records.

    • Requirements

  • 1 year experience in a similar role an asset.
  • Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Occupational Health & Safety program. An equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated prior experience in delivering Health & Safety programs.
  • PMP certification an asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of WCB and Health and Safety considered an asset.
