Description:

As a Health Care Aide (HCA) at Assisted Living Alberta, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide personal assistance and support services to patients in accordance with care plans and facility policies. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs, as well as observe and report on their well-being. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and caregivers in various care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nurses in providing routine care to patients
  • Support patients in organized activities and programs
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Communicate effectively with patients and health professionals

    • Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Confirmation letter of enrolment from the Directory
  • Nursing students enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program with 100 hours of practicum
  • Compliance with qualification requirements
