Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a compassionate Health Care Aide (HCA) to provide person-centered support and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for residents at Douglas Campbell Lodge. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, the HCA ensures care is delivered according to established standards, including Accreditation Canada and Personal Care Home regulations.

The role emphasizes teamwork and professional growth, with opportunities for ongoing education and certification to maintain competency. The HCA exercises independent judgment when prioritizing tasks and addressing unusual situations, contributing to a safe, supportive, and respectful care environment. Candidates should be able to work effectively with a diverse population, including elderly and disabled clients, and provide care that respects cultural diversity.

Physical stamina and reliability are important, as the role involves assisting clients with daily activities, responding to emergencies, and occasionally traveling to other regional facilities.
