Description:

Halton Healthcare is seeking a Health Information Management Clerk to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filing and retrieving charts, answering department telephone calls, sorting physician mail, and other related duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a medical terminology certificate or equivalent experience. The ability to work independently, lift boxes up to 30 lbs, and familiarity with Meditech MRI module are also required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good filing and alpha/numeric filing skills
  • Medical terminology certificate or equivalent working experience required
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and accurately perform tasks
  • Familiarity with Meditech MRI module
  • Ability to perform independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to learn new things readily
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
  • Must be able to lift boxes repeatedly throughout the day, up to 30 lbs
  • Additional Information:

    Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements)

    Salary: $26.170 to $28.200 per hour
