Shared Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join their team at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. The position involves assisting in sample triaging, accessioning, and specimen processing under the supervision of the Charge Technologist. The MLA will also perform phlebotomies and maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional guidelines.

Qualifications:

Completed Grade 12 or equivalent, Manitoba Standards

Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and medical terminology

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Strong communication skills in English

Fluency in French and English may be required

Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail

Maintain confidentiality and work under pressure

Basic math skills and keyboarding abilities
