As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will perform routine and special laboratory tests in CMLTO authorized areas of practice: Biochemistry, Hematology, Histology, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, which require the use of professional judgment. Receive, identify, separate and distribute biological specimens. The application of principles, theories and techniques of Medical Technology are used to produce accurate test results, which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.REQUIRED EDUCATION &amp; CERTIFICATION(S)

* Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program
* Current professional registration and licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)

REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE(S)

* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Possesses good problem-solving skills
* Be able to work independently
* Ability to perform duties calmly while under pressure
* Ability to work harmoniously with patients, physicians, other managers and colleagues
