Description:

Join BMO as a Mortgage Specialist in Retail Banking Sales & Service, where you can unleash your entrepreneurial spirit and help customers achieve their dream of homeownership. You will receive industry-leading training and support to build relationships with a referral network, identify sales opportunities, and execute effective marketing and sales programs. Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, guiding customers through the mortgage application process, and collaborating with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a referral network to increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to achieve business results.
  • Actively search for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Support the delivery of targeted marketing programs and promotions.
  • Engage in trade shows, conferences, and events to enhance the Bank's community presence.
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service to identify client needs and refer to appropriate BMO partners.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Engage with referral network to generate referrals and mortgage originations for clients.
  • Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of self-management, teamwork, personal lending, and relationship sales.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, and commercial lending.
  • Strong knowledge of the real estate industry and mortgage market.
  • Verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
  • Salary:

    The salary for this position includes a commission structure and will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
