Klinic Community Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care services at Klinic and support the New Directions program, which assists children, youth, and adults affected by exploitation. The role involves working three days per week on-site at Klinic and one day per week at New Directions, providing both group education sessions and individual primary care visits. The position emphasizes a holistic, participant-directed approach to health, addressing physical, mental, and emotional needs.

The Nurse Practitioner will perform comprehensive health assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage common primary health care problems within the scope of practice. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating care plans, providing education, support, and advocacy, and collaborating with patients, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team. The practitioner will also assist in program development, participate in training and supervision of new staff and students, and contribute to the development of policies, protocols, and research within the agency.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in Community Health, Primary Health Care, or Public Health, and active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (RN – Extended Practice Register). CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, effective communication skills, and familiarity with community resources and Microsoft Office are required. Experience in health promotion and education program development is considered an asset.
