Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for the Amputee & Cardiovascular (A1) Unit. The OT will work as a member of the interprofessional rehabilitation team, using a person-centred approach to address occupational performance, component skills, and environmental factors affecting patients’ functional levels. The role focuses on preparing patients for discharge into the community while supporting their independence and recovery.

Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing care plans, providing patient and family education, evaluating progress, and identifying the need for supplementary assessments or referrals. The OT will actively participate in team meetings, clinical rounds, and quality improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

The OT will supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and volunteers indirectly and contribute to the clinical teaching and supervision of OT and OTA students. Candidates must hold current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, demonstrate experience in rehabilitation programs, possess excellent professional judgment, communication skills, and show a commitment to person-centred care principles.
