Description:

This position provides occupational therapy services in the community setting at Masterpiece Southland Meadows facility in Medicine Hat. The community of Medicine Hat offers arts, culture, sports, music, shopping, and outdoor activities. The role will transition to Assisted Living Alberta in 2026.

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will provide evidence-informed services focusing on occupational performance for individuals, groups, or communities. You will engage in meaningful occupations, support clients in achieving functional abilities, and collaborate with stakeholders. You will also participate in interprofessional teams, quality improvement, and peer mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services
  • Engage individuals, groups, and communities in meaningful occupations
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders
  • Participate in interprofessional teams and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants and Therapy Aides

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
  • Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Canadian Heart & Stroke BLS certification and Basic First Aid training
  • Experience with Connect Care/EPIC and community settings preferred
  • AADL authorizer status
