Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the MSK/STAR (A4) Rehab Program at St. John's Rehab. The OT will work as part of an interprofessional rehabilitation team, using a person-centred approach to address patients’ occupational performance issues and environmental factors affecting functional outcomes. The role focuses on preparing patients for successful discharge into the community.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized care plans, providing patient and family education, evaluating progress, and identifying the need for additional assessments or referrals. The OT will actively participate in team meetings, clinical rounds, and quality improvement initiatives, and supervise OT assistants and volunteers as appropriate. The role also includes teaching and mentoring OT and OTA students.

Qualified candidates must have completed a recognized post-secondary program in Occupational Therapy, hold current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and preferably have experience in Trauma Rehab Programs. Strong professional judgment, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, time management, and evidence-based practice skills are essential for success in this role.
