St. Joseph's Home Care is seeking Personal Support Workers for their Assisted Living Programs to provide compassionate care and support to clients in their own homes. The PSW-HALP works closely with the Manager and Supervisor of the program to ensure quality client-centered care is delivered. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care activities, housekeeping tasks, and promoting physical health and safety. PSW-HALP also provides emotional and social support to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities include assisting with daily personal care activities, housekeeping tasks, and promoting physical health and safety. PSW-HALP must follow established procedures, answer call bells promptly, and maintain a clean work environment. They are also responsible for observing and recording client information and reporting critical care issues to the Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications for the position include a PSW Certificate from an accredited training institution, 1-3 years of PSW experience, and current First Aid and/or CPR certification. Training in gentle persuasive crisis prevention and previous experience in Medication Reminders are preferred. Access to reliable transportation, a driver's license, and vehicle insurance are required, as well as a Vulnerable sector police check and a 2 step TB test at the time of hire.
