We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Polysomnography Technologist at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. The position involves rotating shifts on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, days, and nights.

What will you work on? The Polysomnography (PSG) Technologist is responsible for producing quality overnight sleep recordings of patients, including collecting information, patient data, patient history, preparing recordings for interpretation, and writing reports.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Receives and prepares patients for polysomnographic studies
- Conducts various polysomnographic related tests
- Surveillance of patients during the study for crises intervention
- Formulates preliminary polysomnographic study reports
- Maintains, monitors, and tests the integrity of laboratory equipment
- Assists with scheduling appointments and prioritizes by clinical urgency
- Participates in quality control programs
- Maintains a variety of records including patient files
- Guides clinical experience of assigned new staff and students
- Participates in team activities to ensure efficient service delivery
- Participates in approved interdisciplinary research and special projects
- Sets measurable goals and objectives within a team or individual environment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
