Description:
Nova Scotia Health is seeking Psychologists to provide specialized mental health assessment and treatment to Veterans, RCMP members, and Canadian Forces personnel experiencing work-related psychological stress and trauma. The OSI Clinic’s interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, delivers services to support both clients and their families. Psychologists will utilize evidence-based therapies, tele-mental health services, and outcome-measurement-based care while maintaining compliance with safety and operational guidelines.

The Psychologist will collaborate closely with stakeholders such as VAC, RCMP, and DND to develop treatment plans and facilitate referrals. Responsibilities include providing trauma-focused therapy, delivering education, and supporting clients in both clinic and community settings. The role requires sensitivity to the unique needs of military and police personnel, as well as experience in interdisciplinary service delivery and outpatient mental health care.

Candidates must hold a recognized doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, be registered (or eligible) under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia, and have completed a CPA/APA-accredited internship or equivalent. Experience in evidence-based therapies for PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders is required, and military or police service experience is considered an asset. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
