Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join its General Imaging team at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the technologist delivers patient-centered care while operating radiological and accessory equipment with minimal supervision. The role involves performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures using ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle, and maintaining responsiveness and accountability for each patient’s care. Effective communication within multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of safety is a key responsibility.

The Radiological Technologist is expected to provide care across multiple sites as required, utilizing independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity. The position requires collaboration with healthcare teams, comprehension of technical manuals, and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Candidates with experience in multiple diagnostic imaging modalities or prior work experience in radiology are considered assets.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited School of Radiological Technology and hold CAMRT certification and NSCMIRTP licensure. Competencies in Basic Life Support, organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in inter-professional teams are required. Knowledge of additional languages, including French, is considered an asset.
