Description:
Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Radiological Technologist to deliver patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision. The technologist performs diagnostic or therapeutic procedures using ionizing radiation while adhering to the ALARA principle, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care. The role requires effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace. Travel to other sites may be required.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited School of Radiological Technology, hold CAMRT certification, and have licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP). Experience with CT and multiple diagnostic imaging modalities is preferred. The position also requires Basic Life Support certification, strong organizational skills, physical capability to perform duties, and the ability to work collaboratively in inter-professional teams. Competencies in additional languages, including French, are an asset.

This permanent part-time position requires 30 hours biweekly with shift work and on-call duties including evenings, nights, and weekends. Compensation ranges from $34.78 to $43.40 hourly. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus or relocation assistance, as well as Nova Scotia Health’s benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
