Description:
Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Registered Cardiology Technologist to perform noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including Electrocardiograms, Signal Average Electrocardiograms, Ambulatory Monitoring (Holter and Loop Recorders), and physician-assisted Exercise Tolerance Testing (Stress Testing). The Technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress tests under the direct supervision of a Cardiologist while ensuring patient care and safety. Travel to other sites may be required.

The role involves precepting and mentoring new learners, managing flexible workloads, and performing stress and tilt table tests. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with EKGs, Holter monitors (including scanning), stress testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and assisting in Pacemaker/ICD clinics. Strong initiative, responsibility, and adaptability under stressful situations are essential.

Candidates must have completed a recognized Cardiology Technology program (or equivalent), hold current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists, and maintain BLS (HCP) certification. Additional language competencies, especially French, are considered an asset.
