Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Wage Range: $40.24 - 57.68 per hour (Start rate is non-negotiable)
Shifts: 12-hour days/nights/weekends/stat holidays Days 0730 - 1930 - Nights1930-0730
Status: Permanent Part-Time
Closing Date: December 8, 2025

Position Summary As a member of a multi-disciplinary Team, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, the UHN Professional Practice Model, and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN to provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care, while meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.

Duties

  • Applying knowledge of nursing science, theory, skill, and critical decision making in the provision of compassionate, collaborative, and competent care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model for Nursing and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN.
  • Ensuring practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the UHN policy and procedure.
  • Demonstrating commitment to professional lifelong learning by participating in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession.
  • Performing reflective practice, analyzing and evaluating nursing knowledge and modifying practice accordingly to improve the quality of nursing and patient care.
  • Performing cross-functional and other responsibilities, as assigned and/or requested.
  • Qualifications

  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
  • Accredited Critical Care course completion required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred
  • BScN degree preferred
  • Acute Care Experience preferred
  • Neurosurgery & Spinal experience preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required
  • Flexible and able to work effectively and efficiently within an interdisciplinary patient care team
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills
