Description:

As a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Registered Nurse assesses, implements, coordinates, and evaluates patient care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses in Ontario. Qualifications include a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in acute cardiac care and critical care settings
  • Perform ECG interpretation/treatment, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilation, IV access, venipuncture, defibrillation, and more
  • Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking techniques effectively in a critical care setting
  • Demonstrate interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Perform well in critical high-stress situations

    • Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BCLS certification, ACLS certification preferred
  • Recent experience in acute cardiac care nursing and critical care
  • Current knowledge of the assessment and management of an acute cardiac population and critically ill adults
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical thinking techniques effectively
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform well in critical high-stress situations
