Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN will provide developmentally appropriate care to neonates, following standards set by the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health. The role includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation, while ensuring support and education for parents and coordination with the multidisciplinary care team.

The RN will practice within the Patient-Focused Care framework and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook. Responsibilities include advanced neonatal care, supporting breastfeeding, and collaborating with physicians, allied health professionals, and families. The position emphasizes person-centred care, critical thinking, and the ability to perform under high-stress conditions while maintaining effective teamwork and communication.

Candidates must hold current Ontario College of Nurses registration, possess NICU Level II or III experience, and have experience with ventilator support, central lines, IV medication, and fluid management. Additional qualifications include neonatal courses (Level III, S.T.A.B.L.E.), Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
