Health Shared Services (HSS) is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to join the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Department in Edmonton. In this role, you will work independently and collaboratively with the WHS Leadership Team to develop and manage health protection programs for HSS employees, physicians, volunteers, and students. Responsibilities include coordinating educational resources, implementing projects, and providing leadership in employee health surveillance. The OHN will be involved in patient care, including immunizations and disease exposures, and will contribute to health promotion and safety programs.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will use critical thinking and decision-making skills to provide quality care, teach, counsel, and advocate for patients. The role supports an integrated approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, reflecting the values of AHS. Provisional Permit holders will receive a specific hourly rate until obtaining a full license.

• Required Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification
• Completion of CRNA Medication Management and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification if not practiced as an RN in the last five years

• Additional Required Qualifications:
• Experience in project planning, execution, and evaluation

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Equivalencies of education and experience considered
• Completion of the Occupational Health Nursing Post-Diploma/Degree Certificate within three years of hire date
• CNA Certified Occupational Health Nursing (C) Canada preferred
