Description:

This job posting is for a Registered Nurse position at Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in the hospital's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role requires adherence to unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education, Training And Experience: Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant, current CPR Basic Rescuer certification, knowledge of pediatric physiology and psychology, recognized Pediatric ICU education certificate, and up to two years of recent experience in Pediatric ICU.
  • Skills And Abilities:
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize workload and set priorities.
    • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts.
