Step into your nursing career with confidence by joining Alberta's Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program. This program is designed for recent Registered Nurse graduates who are eager to launch their careers in either urban or rural settings. The program provides support and guidance from experienced peers to help you develop your skills, competence, and confidence in a safe environment. The GNTPP is a 12-month program divided into two phases: Enhanced Orientation and Independent Practice with Support.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Additionally, you will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.

Provisional Permit holders will receive a specific hourly rate, which will be adjusted upon obtaining a full license. The position is classified as SN Registered Nurse NGT under the United Nurses of Alberta union, with the primary location at Provost Health Centre. The temporary full-time position offers benefits and is available from December 18, 2025, to December 10, 2026.
