Step into your nursing career with confidence by joining Alberta's Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program. This program is designed for recently graduated Registered Nurses looking to launch their nursing careers in urban centers or rural communities. The 12-month program consists of two phases to help you grow into your role with the support you deserve.

Phase 1 involves an Enhanced Orientation where you will be paired with an experienced RN to develop a personalized learning plan. Phase 2 focuses on Independent Practice with Support, where you will transition to independent practice while having access to an assigned mentor for ongoing support.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour, with adjustments upon obtaining a full license.

Additional qualifications include experience in med/surg/acute care/ED/critical care/pediatric settings, current Basic Life Support certification, and excellent communication skills. Physical requirements include being on your feet for extended periods, assisting in patient transport, and lifting and positioning patients and equipment.
