Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join the Emergency Department. The RPN will provide primary care to patients in the Purple (minor) and Orange (ambulatory) zones, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care. This role emphasizes Person-Focused Care principles, patient advocacy, and collaboration across the healthcare team.

The RPN is responsible for assessment, intervention, education, and ongoing patient care within the Emergency Department. The role also requires participation in organizational initiatives, including nursing council, unit committees, and quality improvement projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and critical thinking in patient care are essential for success.

Candidates must hold a current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, possess an RPN diploma, and hold a current BCLS certificate. Previous acute care or RPN experience is preferred, along with a demonstrated commitment to continuing education, teamwork, and the Person-Centred Care philosophy.
