Description:

Horizon Health Network is seeking a Recreation Therapist to work at the Ridgewood Veterans Health Wing in Saint John. The job requires fluency in English and a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for providing clinical recreation therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in Recreation with major course work in therapeutics.
  • Ability to attend work regularly and perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assessing, planning, and providing therapy to individuals and groups.
  • Maintaining clinical records and documentation.
  • Providing guidance and support to activity workers and other health care providers.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Preparing and presenting information and education sessions.
  • Providing mentoring and support for students.
  • Participating in developing, maintaining, and evaluating policies and procedures.
  • Participating in developing and sharing information related to clinical skill sets, best practices, and clinical guidelines.
