Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Youth Health Centre Coordinator (YHCC) to join the Healthy Communities Public Health Team. The YHCC provides leadership, informal assessment, service navigation, and youth engagement within the assigned school and its community. The role champions youth health, equity, and participation, collaborating with school staff, community partners, and healthcare providers to ensure youth have access to supportive programs and services.

The Coordinator works within Public Health Standards and Health Promoting Schools protocols, promoting safe, equitable, and inclusive support for youth. The position involves fostering cooperation among educators, guidance staff, primary healthcare providers, mental health teams, and other community partners to implement effective youth-centered initiatives.

Candidates must hold a baccalaureate degree in a relevant health discipline (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy, nutrition), have at least three years of relevant experience including direct youth engagement, and be bilingual in French and English. Registration or licensure with their respective professional body is required. Applicants should demonstrate strong skills in independent and team-based work, youth engagement, trauma-informed approaches, and an understanding of social determinants of health and equity in school and community settings.
