Women Build Day
×
Women Build Day, organized in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Niagara, is designed to bring women together to actively contribute to building safe, affordable housing while promoting empowerment, collaboration, and community engagement. The initiative reflects a broader goal of addressing housing challenges by creating opportunities for individuals to make a tangible, hands-on impact while strengthening a shared sense of purpose.

This year, Rohini D’Cunha played a key role in bringing this vision to life by organizing and leading a dedicated team for the event. Known for her strong commitment to community and her ability to connect people around meaningful causes, Rohini brought colleagues together to contribute not only to construction efforts but also to a collective mission of creating lasting change.

For the Niagara BuildHERS, participation in this day goes beyond the physical act of building—it represents a commitment to fostering dignity, opportunity, and long-term stability for families in need of safe housing. They also recognize the support of University of Niagara Falls Canada in cultivating a culture that encourages community involvement and enables initiatives like this through active volunteer engagement.

Niagara BuildHERS demonstrate how purpose-driven action, when combined with teamwork and opportunity, can result in meaningful and lasting impact.
